Activities
Our well-qualified staff deliver a range of activities for schools, uniform groups and members of the public. Half day activity sessions (2-3 hrs) are £50 for adults and £40 for under 18s. Archery and axe-throwing sessions (1.5 hrs) are £27 for adults and £22 for under 18s. Paddle board taster sessions - the supervised hire of a paddle board for one hour - are £25 per person. All guests staying on site receive a 10% discount on advertised activity sessions.

Abseil - Whether you're conquering your fear or love a thrill, abseiling is a perfect all-age and all-ability activity. We offer a range of descent lines, as well as a challenging rope ladder climb.

Archery - Test your aim and bring out your competitive side at our scenic archery range. Can you hold your nerve and score gold? Try not to hit the passing deer!

Axe-throwing - Coming soon: this is the time to embrace your Viking heritage! A thrilling activity where technique triumphs over sheer strength!

Bushcraft - Could you survive on the simple contents of a rucksack? Join us and learn new skills in a nearby wooded area, including shelter building and fire starting. Will your shelter stand up to the force of nature?

Canoeing - A relaxing activity to unwind in the serene setting of Lochranza. Paddle around the bay while enjoying unique views of the castle and surrounding area. Improve your balance and teamwork with fun games designed for all ages.

Climbing - Rope up and channel your inner adventurer at our relic sea stack. With various routes available, will you reach the top or fall short?

Cycling - Wheel around the local area on a series of trails designed for all abilities. Test yourself with mountain biking, or pedal round the coastline to the nearest ice-cream shop!

Gorge Walking - You will be guided on an adventure through a series of obstacles up the gorgeous River Sannox. Once you've reached the top the fun doesn't stop… Will you take the plunge? This activity can be tailored to suit all ages and abilities according to weather conditions.

Mountain Walk - Come tackle Arran's highest mountain, Goatfell! Gain a different perspective with stunning views across the island and over to West Scotland. You might even see Ireland if you're lucky! Please note this activity is highly dependent on participants’ ability and the weather.

Orienteering - Navigate through rugged fields and forests with nothing but a map and compass to guide you. Race in your teams against the clock, but remember, accuracy always counts!

Paddle Board Taster Sessions - Supervised hire of a paddle board for an hour in the beautiful setting of Lochranza's sheltered sea loch.

Problem Solving - Test your mind and improve your team-bonding with a series of games and challenges sure to push you.

Raft Building - Design and construct your own raft in teams, with nothing but a few planks of wood, barrels, rope and your own wit. Will your raft keep it together or will you end up going for a swim?
